Smoke 'em if you got 'em

Louisville's ridiculous and vastly unpopular smoking ban doesn't seem to be stopping anyone who really wants to smoke and who has the balls to say "yeah, whaddaya gonna DO about it?"

Local TV channel WAVE 3 recently had a report on businesses - and there are many of them - who are openly flouting the smoking ban. Like the equally retarded and unconstitutional prohibition of alcohol in America in the 1920s, the ban is turning formerly docile citizens into uppity ones. According to WAVE 3's report, it's not just cranky-old-man bars and dives that are refusing to comply, but bingo halls, sports centers, athletic leagues, private clubs, and well-respected businesses that are thumbing their noses and saying "foxtrot uniform" to the new prohibition hysteria sweeping the nation.

The Old Order of Transylvanian Gentlemen beseeches you, dear reader, to support these businesses who are brave enough to stand up and fight for businesses to determine what can and cannot be done within the confines of their property.

I hate the "big tobacco" cigarette-pushing scumbags just as much as the next guy, but I hate government intrusion more. When I choose to partake of the demon tobacco, I like a hand-rolled cigar without all the toxic crap that you-know-who and you-know-who-else put in their little lily-white death-utensil cigarettes. Cigarettes are strictly for suckers, but I still support a bar owner's right to allow their patrons to smoke the goldern things.

Cheeseburger & Fries were thinking about smoking bans before there were smoking bans with the song "Cigarette Blues," circa late 90s. Walkin' around like we got black lung all the time.--JTD
