Midsummer Madness

Yeah, so I've been way too busy to spend much time online these days, and when I do it's usually to update my Unusual Kentucky blog or to surf porn. At any given time I tend to be living two or three different lives at the same time, but this year, it's been more like five or six hats I've been wearin', and it's wearin' me out.

I need to drink more. Yeah, that's the solution.

The main thing that's been sucking my brains, time, and life away is Toulouse-inations, a play written and directed by yours truly, under the auspices of the Catclaw Theatre Company. Theatre is not easy for a control freak like myself - it's super stressful to have to depend on two dozen other people to make something of this magnitude happen. Fortunately, Catclaw is blessed with some amazing and hardworking people, like Carolyn Purcell, Joyce Thompson, and Kate Holland (no relation).

If you'd like to support the cause to which we are all so devoted - and you do, don't you? - click here to purchase tickets for Toulouse-inations online or call the Kentucky Center Box Office at (502)562-0100.

The photo above is from rehearsals of the show at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center. Left to right: Shermia Love as Marie; Andrena Johnson as Roseline; Sidney Hymson as Toulouse-Lautrec; and Ashley Stallings as Eugenie.

I wish it would come to my town. All we ever seem to get are Christian bands at the local auditoreum.
